The Great War: The Impact on Women

With so many men sent to the front lines, the role of women during WW1 was significantly altered by taking on work traditionally the domain of men.

This friendly and informal course investigated the various roles women were engaged in, illustrating their work within a project of four ready-to-embroider panels. Some knowledge of basic sewing techniques was advantageous but not necessary.
